Sketchbook Project 2011

Here’s a really short video of the progress I’ve made on my Sketchbook Project 2011 so far, hope you enjoy it! I will be editing this post soon to include the words that are written on each page and that are slightly hard to read in the video, but for right now I’m off to bed, just wanted to post really quickly!!

About messymama
I'm a SAHM with a busy schedule and a love of too many things to count! I sew, I write, I draw, and I love to create. I'm always on the lookout for a new project idea. One other very important thing about me - my house is in a continual state of upheaval and mess. Slowly but surely I'm working through the piles and boxes, but I am still in the process, and some days it seems like it would be much easier to pack up and move!

    Hi,
I’ve entered The Sketchbook Project too and am currently awaiting my book! I plan to do what you did (switching the wimpy paper for watercolor paper and then sew them all back together. Can you offer any advise on how it’s all going for you as far as using the above technique.
    Thanks so much.

I am *hoping* to do another video or at least a set of pictures today detailing the progress on my sketchbook. But, I have to say that I’m loving the heavier paper and haven’t run into a single problem yet. I am a little worried about sewing it all back together at the end; right now I am working on each page out of the book, because that’s easier for me. But I think it will be fine. I even have some fabric pages included, I’m so excited to show them!

So the only advice I really have is – don’t stick with that wimpy paper, have fun and try a bunch of new techniques and ideas!
