In love. In lust. In books…

I may have a hard time completing a full sentence in this post, as I’m seriously distracted right now by this awesome site! My brain feels even more full of crafting ideas and random thoughts than usual.

That site has the coolest stuff. Great tutorials, great inspiration, the best links to the other coolest bookbinding sites around. I’m just in awe, seriously. Already today I learned two new bookbinding stitches (the three hole pamphlet stitch and the long stitch) that I can’t wait to try out. The coptic stitch and I didn’t get along too well last time but I’m going to give it one more shot once I’m done playing with these ones.

I’m having a yard sale this weekend (weather permitting, anyway, it kinda looks like it might rain now, ugh) and I’m thinking about making up a dozen or so little blank books out of recycled papers and some of the tons of paint chip cards I have laying around. Also, I recently found a 1960-something edition of Curious George that’s full of vintage scribbles and awesome pictures, and I’m planning on using the long stitch to rebind it with a bunch of lined and blank papers to use as a journal.

And PS – I really wish I had ten bucks and a credit card, ’cause I’d sooo be getting this! I’ve been searching (and even trying to make_ the perfect datebook since ’07, no joke. I may just use this for inspiration and try again.

Okay, back to drooling and reading the comments I didn’t know I had, lol.

About messymama
I'm a SAHM with a busy schedule and a love of too many things to count! I sew, I write, I draw, and I love to create. I'm always on the lookout for a new project idea. One other very important thing about me - my house is in a continual state of upheaval and mess. Slowly but surely I'm working through the piles and boxes, but I am still in the process, and some days it seems like it would be much easier to pack up and move!

SO…guess what I am addicted to now? I order farm order catalogs and pour through them at night for hours. I’ve kept my orders down to $250, but the newest catalog I got “Murray MacMurray’s” I already have $450 worth of stuff picked out. I tell you, female brains are wired to obsess over this type of thing. Let go a little and buy yourself something. I’m sure you deserve it 😉 xo

farm order catalogs? What’s in them? Seeds? (hehe, just kidding. Although I really am curious as to what’s in them.) I am so relieved to hear I’m not the only obsessive one!
