What a wonderful night!

First and foremost, my perfect nephew was born at 8:45 PM. It was a scary delivery that ended in an emergency C-section but things are wonderful now. He is a healthy pink screaming miracle! He’s 15 lbs, 13 oz and a whole 17 1/2 inches long, and he’s just amazing. He even has hair, you guys…and it’s perfect too, of course.

I’ll post pictures as soon as I recover enough to load them on to the computer.

On another note, there’s an amazing giveaway here for a gorgeous quilt that I’m hoping and praying I win! Wouldn’t that be the most awesome end to the most awesome day?

And to think, at one o’clock today I was sitting here without having eaten or showered or done one single constructive thing with my day…and now less than twelve hours later there’s a whole other little person in the world that shares my blood and family. Isn’t it amazing?!

This is why I’d never let anyone accept the thought of not having kids if they had the choice…nothing compares to this feeling, not even close. And when it’s your own kid, it just takes your life away and hands you back something a million times better…it’s the best moment in the world. Everyone deserves it.

Well I guess I’ll go to bed now that I’m so exhausted I doubt I’ll even be able to kick off my shoes. Pictures and details coming soon!

About messymama
I'm a SAHM with a busy schedule and a love of too many things to count! I sew, I write, I draw, and I love to create. I'm always on the lookout for a new project idea. One other very important thing about me - my house is in a continual state of upheaval and mess. Slowly but surely I'm working through the piles and boxes, but I am still in the process, and some days it seems like it would be much easier to pack up and move!
